Missing Pet Alert - How it works

1. Fill out the missing pet alert form. Most fields are voluntary. You will be asked to provide information about your pet - like what kind of animal and breed it is, and what it looks like. Then, you will need to provide information on where your pet was seen last. This section is mandatory, as it gives our alert system the location and area to notify members. Finally, we ask for basic contact information. We ask for at least an email, but you can provide other contact methods if you wish to provide them.
2. If you are member, you can also add a photo of your pet. We don't allow guests to submit photos for security purposes. If you are not a member and wish to submit your photo, you can join PetWatchClub.com here.
3. Once you submit your missing pet alert form, it will be reviewed by someone on the PetWatchClub.com staff. They will make sure that enough information is available to send out the alert. If not, you will receive an email and a link the form where you can add the needed information and resubmit your form. We will make every effort to approve your missing pet alert within 12 hours or less of submittal or resubmittal of your alert form.
4. After approval, the alert will be emailed out to all PetWatchClub.com members who have consented to receive alerts and who live within 10 miles of the address where your pet was last seen. A web page will also be made public for other members and site visitors to view. The webpage will not show any of your contact information, but it will include a form people can use to contact you anonymously.
5. You can edit your webpage with additional details or withdraw your alert at any time. We will provide you a link to edit your alert page after you successfully submit your form.
6. Your posting will be available for a maximum of 3 weeks. You can select to withdraw your posting before that, if you wish.

Unfortunately, PetWatchClub.com cannot make any assurances or promises that your pet will be located by using our missing pet alert system or any other means. Participation in the alert system in any form is completely voluntary for all parties. PetWatchClub.com reserves the right to accept, reject, and/or withdraw any and all missing pet alerts at their discretion and without explanation. By submitting your missing pet alert, you agree not to hold PetWatchClub.com responsible for any and all matters directly or indirectly related to you or your pet.

To protect our members from excessive email, we only allow one email to be sent per pet alert. Also, we only allow one active missing pet alert announcement per account.
